Booking Terms & Conditions

Don’t be alarmed, this is just the small-print! When you make a booking with us, you are agreeing to the terms detailed below. The booking form you receive during the process of booking your holiday asks for confirmation that these have been agreed to, so please do give them read.

Don’t worry, there won’t be a test when you arrive!

 

Prices

The price of the cottage includes bed linen, towels, electricity, heating and wi-fi.

 

Cancellation and Insurance

A 20% deposit is payable on booking with the balance payable 6 weeks before arrival. By making your booking, our agreement is a legal contract and your deposit is non-refundable in the unfortunate event that you should need to cancel.

If you need to cancel once the balance has been paid and we can re-let the cottage, 75% of the monies received will be refunded. We would recommend that you always take out cancellation insurance to cover this cost of your holiday.

 

Non-availability of Accommodation

In the unfortunate event of us having to cancel your holiday for reasons beyond our control, then we would refund all monies paid by you for the holiday.

Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.

 

Restrictions

We regret that we cannot accept bookings from stag and hen parties or similar.

 

Pets

With the exception of assistance dogs, we do not allow pets at this property, in this case we respectfully insist that they are not allowed on the furniture.

 

Children

All children are welcome and a cot and highchair are available on request if needed. As we are a working farm children must be under the supervision of an adult at all times.

 

Maximum Occupancy

Under no circumstances may more than the number of persons stated on the website occupy the cottage.

 

Arrival

Your accommodation will be available to you from 4.00pm on the day of arrival unless otherwise arranged. We will not be able to accommodate you if you arrive earlier than the agreed time as we will be busy preparing the cottage.

Late arrival procedure: Please ensure you contact to let us know if you will be arriving later than arranged.

 

Departure

Please be ready to leave the accommodation by 10.30am on weekdays and 11.00am at weekends on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged.

 

Smoking

Please note that in accordance with UK legislation, no smoking is permitted at Styche Farm, this extends to all rooms and parts of the house and to all areas of the grounds and outbuildings with the sole exception of the designated areas. This includes e-cigarettes.

Guests are respectfully requested to observe this condition and we reserve the right to ask anyone who disregards this policy to leave the premises immediately. Payment for the full booking will be charged plus the cost of cleaning all bedding, carpets, upholstery and soft furnishings

 

Fishing

Please contact us as this can be arranged on request.

Guests who wish to fish in the trout pool must;

  • Provide a current fishing licence.
  • Use barb-less hooks.
  • Return all fish caught except for an allowance of 2 fish per stay
  • Record all catches in the log book.
  • Provide their own equipment.
  • Only 2 guests to fish at any one time.

 

Damages and Breakages

Please take care when staying in our home. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages, which you cause, to the accommodation or its contents. All we ask is that you report any incidents as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send you an invoice for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant.

Please remember that damage may be more expensive to repair if it has not been attended to quickly or concealed.

 

Liability

We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.

 

Privacy Policy

Any data collected during the course of this booking will be stored on our computer(s). With your permission we may from time to time contact you about promotions and offers. We will not share your details with any third party unless we have your permission to do so.
